she has this brother who likes stuff like sum 41 and the murderdolls and she thinkd it would be funny to get him a real metal album prefably one thats scary

i cant decide what to recommend so i have devised a shortlist for you to vote for

I voted for the albums by Burzum and Mayhem, but I don't know if Burzum is particularly scary, except maybe the vocal. The vocal might just turn people off from the music, as some people might find it too horrific to listen to. I haven't gotten used to it, although I can't say that I enjoy the vocal.

I'd have to say go with Nasum, that album makes you shit your pants by sheer brutality.

The Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir CDs suck, and yes I'm a fan of both of those groups.

Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction would scare him, but I voted for At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul because it's the best album on there, IMO.

I'd go with the Nile album It's more brutal, newer and darker than the At The Gates one...

(I know SotS is a classic, but IMO In Their Darkened Shrines is a better album when you want to scare somebody who isn't into metal )
