The greatest album of 2003

My fav album of the year is Jane's Addiction - Strays. That album fucking rules.

Honourable mentions go to Maiden, Living Colour and Arch Enemy.

It's been a shit year though, hasn't it? Still, there are loads of albums I would like to get but haven't (Seps, Anthrax, Nevermore etc).....can someone give me some money?!

Good to see nobody realised I was away for 3 weeks!

Gorey, apparently a promo copy of 'E...AD' is on its way to me, looking forward to it!

Thanks fellas, glad to see my absence was noticed. :) Was down cruising around Tassie with Mrs Winmar......

How can you say The Darkness is the best album of the year. That's just ridiculous. Specially when there were albums from real bands with real musicians like these few.
Poisonblack - Escapexstacy
Royal Hunt - Eye Witness
Charon - Dying Daylights
Type O Negative - Life Is Killing Me
Kamelot - Epica
Adagio - Underworld
Cage - Darker than Black

Watch, Penelope:

I think The Darkness's's "Permission to Land" is the best album of the year. Until I think of a better one.

That's how I say it.

I think Metal Shop's Hole Patrol is my favourite, that's more absurd than saying The Darkness is, because they are a parody tribute show and their album is only 20 minutes long and its all comedy songs. But it is still my favourite because the songs rule and sound awesome, they ARE real musicians (the singer and guitarist are both REALLY good), and the lyrics are very funny.

Metal Shop is fuckin awesome

I saw her drinking beer,
eating peanuts by the bar
I was pretty desperate
and I knew she had a car
she said her name was devon
and she was friends with Jenny Craig
she had boobs like water melons
and breath like rotten eggs

I know youy hungry
I could see it in your eyes
She was looking at me,
like I was a side of fries

I want to take her chubby arse
back to my place
and squirt my baby gravy all over your face

Woooah wooooah
Thar she blows
Woooah woooah
thar she blows

Fat Girl, she everything I wanted and more
fat girl, she can't fit through the door
