the guitar tech vs local crew & the a&r vs producer

lol im a "local guy" but im NOTHING like this lol, i know what im doing when it comes to my job, however a few of the guys on the AIC gig were standing around with there thumbs up there asses trying to find picks and set lists and shit.

One dude even bitched cuz he got put on backline and he wanted to be on lighting...About 1/4 of the way through loadout though nobody was in the assigned job it was just organized chaos, Whatever needed to be done you do it regardless of what your pass says.

One guy was standing there cuz we didnt have any carts to push out so I told him to go help with the DL3's and hes like but im a pusher..."well buddy i dont give a fuck what you are at this moment youre now a lighting guy go take the shit down"

I've seen the guitar tech one, I'll have to watch the other when I get home, but I laughed my ass off at "I'm gonna tie knots in your cables every 3 feet and put them on a cart going to the audio truck"

I have done stagehand work at some pretty big stadium/arena shows and most of the time the dudes are pretty easy to work with, I'm always on audio crew though

Most of the bigger shows/festivals I've played the stagehands were actually legit and knew what the deal was. Smaller shows is a whole other shit sandwich.

these arent as funny cuz they're not designed as actual conversations

its funnier when its really a conversation that took place between two people

im not going to believe that the a&r guy was saying "who also sniff cocaine" while he was talking to the producer.
