Playing music with my first serious metal band. Ive played with bands in the past but have never really felt that much of a part of it, whilst now I think I've found people that I'll be able to go places with.

So far it's between getting a job as resident engineer at a new studio that's starting up in my area, before I've even finished college, which all stemmed from one naively-worded email at 6am in the morning or the first time my nephew smiled at me. For a 6-month year old, the little dude has such a cheeky grin

Happiest moment? That time I had that surgery that prevented cancer from killing me. That was pretty rad.

Not an easy thing

The threesomes I had weren't even the best sex I had, let alone the best day....I guess my life is awesome, lol.
I can't even say what exactly i think was the "best" day...had a lot of great moments, but I have shit memory.
Up there:
-lying in a pool in Australia, sipping G&T, then being picked up by a stretch limo to go out for Thai food
-the first time I saw one of my own CDs in the store.
-driving through Hollywood in a mustang, realizing that my job is pretty awesome
-night out in Dublin
-lying on a porch in Thailand where I worked on a DVD/cd production in an orphanage in the jungle, realizing that my job is pretty awesome
-a ton of great evenings and nights I had talking to my very good friends
-the first time I saw one of "my" bands play in front of 5000+ people who all sang along...intense
-my first Wacken 1997...it was fuxking magical..definitely way up in that list
-I'm also pretty lucky with my girl, couldn't ask for a better one...
-lying/sleeping on the roof of my house, smoking a joint during a warm summer night observing the perseid meteor shower and thinking about the universe, the vast distances, size and magnitude of things, thinking about astrophysics and quantum dynamics.
-I have some of the best friends ever....
-NAMM was fucking awesome, great nights out with Fortin, Dave linsk etc
-when I got my drivers license
-being able make a living in the music industry
-I'm also pretty sure that the relative happiness I felt as a kid on Xmas and birthdays etc is higher than the happiness an adult can experience...so that should probably lead the list
-couple of threesomes etc might be on the list too, but I doubt they beat a pool in oz etc


That list could probably go on and on, and I wouldn't even cover a fraction of the potential candidates.

There are some things that are gonna happen this year that'll probably end up great.

-flying to Canada in September to produce a band
-looks like I'll be heading out to LA or Florida next year to produce a band on a huge budget
-just booked a twin bed room with sneap for the musikmesse (though I'll probably not be able to remember much of the messe)
- and some other very big thing, that I can't/don't wanna talk about yet, but is probably/hopefully gonna happen in October...(that's a candidate for the primier spot)


I guess my life is extremely awesome, I should sit down and appreciate that more often.
It's a weird thing that how lucky you are has not much to do with how happy you are.
One has to consciously make an effort to appreciate the luck.

Well, there are a few...

Playing Wacken last summer was huge, and winning Wacken Metal Battle was unreal... But I wasn't very happy straight after the gig

Seeing Maiden for the first time when I was 15 was also special.

First(and so far only) European tour was a dream come true.

Having Meshuggah and Arch Enemy booked for the festival in a small village in The Faroe Islands where I do backline every year was pretty fucking cool both times.

Getting offered a job in Studio Bloch, where I do lots of work now.

I've had too many great personal moments with great friends and on my travels to list, I definitely consider myself one of the lucky guys so far.

Would have to be the first two weeks of moving into my own first apartment with the girl I loved during the collapse of my family and also ending my (hopefully) final time being homeless- six months to be exact.

She walked out on me and cheated on me and is now currently with the ugly mother fucker she cheated on me with whom she works with(of which I helped her get)

I spend most of my nights drunk now

Been going to Chelsea for years on end, went to every single European game last year when we won it. Travelled all over Europe, suffered the heartbreak, saw us win it for the first time. First team from London to do it. Grown men, old school hooligans crying their eyes out.

While I'm at it. Worst moment would be my best mate dying a few weeks after that. Nuts having those 2 things happen so close.

^don't trip...one of the happiest days of my life was seeing the SF giants finally win a world series. after seeing them get swept when i was a kid in 89, then seeing their awesome teams of the early 90's always come up short, then watching them choke in the WS in '03, that shit was a long time coming!

I have two of those...

Even crazier than the final, was watching it in Greece with lots of relatives(I'm half Greek) and when the silver goal went in in the semi everybody went absolutely ballistic. Probably one of the most surreal moments of my life.
