The "Heaven and Hell" tour

doubt if this will hit ireland
not bothered about megaginge but sabbath with dio is a vastly more attractive proposition as with the shambolic human money bucket of late

also fuck shazbourne for not allowing them use the sabbath name
obviously they had to give up the rights to the name to get that buffoon in on the first re-union

Down is on the bill too. I hope it's the same line up here in the US. On another note, the first Megadeth single has been met with an incredible amount of apathy. There doesn't seem to be any talk of it at all, even just to say how plain it is.

What, the "Gears of War" song? Oh yeah, that's as average as can be and it's just for a videogame. Megadeth have always done these side projects -- see "Buried Treasures" album. There's no doubt that's a left over track from some outhouse recording. Thing about Megadeth live shows, as with Slayer, is that they've got a strong enough back catalog to keep the fans going.

I don't want to see Slayer do new stuff, neither do I want to see Maiden do new stuff. When it comes to Megadeth, I want to see them do "Holy Wars", "Peace Sells", "Darkest Hour", "Reckoning Day", "Hook in Mouth", etc.

If that covers the first 45 minutes of the show, later building into Ronnie James Dio singing all his Sabbath material....with Sabbath themselves...at a venue like Radio City (as opposed to an arena).....like I said, no brainer. :kickass:

Megadeth must make it to the US tour....damn Canadians. :(

I agree that Megadeth and Slayer, along with most of the other old timers, have enough classics–and derive enough energy from them–to make seeing them worth the price of admission. No question I’ll see this tour if it comes anywhere close to me.

As for Dio's form, he sure didn't sound so good on the Holy Diver Live album, but there's some talk about how he'd been sick around the time of the show. Great voice, contributed lots to metal, but I haven't found any of his stuff interesting since Last in Line.

Just saw confirmation that Megadeth will NOT be at the Radio City gig. I've heard rumors that there won't be any openers on the US leg. Who knows for sure...

Hope you got your tickets...

About the same time it takes Maiden to sell out Sweden's biggest arena twice and the second biggest once and then the biggest yet again
