But guys, it has fluoropolymer dialectric material, come on! Jesus what a fucking joke...

And I have no idea what fluoropolymer dialectric material is, by the way.

It means it has fluorine in stuff that doesn't conduct electricity. Think 'we must ban the dangerous chemical dihydrogen monoxide, which is present in everything around us, is linked to thousands of deaths a year, and is a leading cause of disease and famine worldwide'...

You'd be surprised the shit you can get people to believe.

Examples: this, the Penn & Teller episode where they get hippies to sign a petition banning water, Mother Teresa's fame...

Bullsh@t kicks major balls...unlike these cables. I'll wait for the upgraded ones that offer true "jitter free" connectivity....

Sometimes I wonder if companies just name a price and see if they can find a test market that will pay that price for that item. Think about all the designer water on the market, shitty sounding speakers that say BOSE on them, etc...

I've never paid for CAT5 cable!!!

I'm wondering if this little 1,5 m long cable will bring out all the nuances of digital audio - in my interpretation: all the 0's and 1's are going through the cable without any errors - then how much would it cost to make a network for a small office (~150 m of cable)?
Propably the "usual" network cable won't be good enough. The fact that any conventional cable can transfer digital data at 100 Mbps (DVD audio is somewhere around 768 kbps if I'm calculating correctly) without 1 bit of data loss is not important, cause conventional cables don't have "Fluoropolymer Dielectric material", "Alloy shielding and woven jacketing reduce vibration" and all the other shit.
Marketing FTW

I know what you mean about Bose dude- for all the advertisements they have in magazines, in stores, and elaborate looking demo booths in airports countrywide, I would expect their products to sound a whole lot better than they actually do. I don't think I've listened to anything Bose and actually been excited about the way it sounded...
