The Hobbit: 48 FPS 3D

I saw it in IMAX HFR 3D on opening night and thought it was great. Other than a couple bits early on when things seemed to be sped up a bit the HFR didn't bother me at all. The whole thing looked fantastic. To boot, one of my friends said she was starting to get a headache from the 3D in the 9 minute Star Trek preview but then didn't have any issues with 2 hr and 46 minutes of the Hobbit.

Thought the 3d + 48fps was INCREDIBLE. While in the beginning they had one very short part that looked sped up, I quickly got used to it..the rest seemed like I was looking into another very vivid dimension. I usually don't like 3D but thought it was really well done in the Hobbit. Surprised at how many negative posts there are in here about it.
