The "I Really Want To Buy This" Thread

Right now I have my custom 7 in the works, which (hopefully) should make me one happy camper... But the next guitar I know I'll buy, will be a Gary Kramer Guitars F-2 (simply a trem version of the F-1). The F-1 and F-2 are simply so out there without getting silly (as everything is based on ergonomics and performance), that I find it the most impressive design since the Parker fly. Here's a pic of the F-1 for reference:

a 16"x18" Gretsch USA Maple floor tom in a cherry red satin stain to match the rest of my kit!!

It's worth about US$900 so about $1300 in Australian money :(.

I want a MRF(Mr.Fast) model 6 string, only 15 made. Its the only guitar ever made with elastic bands as strings and frets colored with crayons.

Its plays like a dream and the tone is out of this world..

Peavey 50/50 to accompany my newly acquired ADA MP1.

Hell yes to the ADA. I love those things. But, the Peavey... :puke:

Oh, and I still long for a Strat. A real Strat.

Funny story - I was watching one of those antique appraisal shows on the tele and a guy brought in (I think) a '57 Strat, all original hardware, slightly played. It was appraised at $50-60,000. Holy shit!

i've heard stories and I know a few people who have had problems with their V3's. Supposedely they were problems only present in the first run of them and they are now sorted out, but I'd do a little bit of research before buying one just to be sure.

Friend of mine just got his this week. I'm looking forward to hearing what it can do. Bought the 1/2 stack w/Celestion 30's
& I think it ran him $1500 (w/shipping)

Theres a video on their website on it, and the way that the tone changes with the EQ knobs sounds amazing. And I've heard clips of heavy gain metal and I can only imagine what it would sound like with my X2N !!! Plus the lead sound is phenomenal.. I want one.. :Smug:
I'm not sure of getting the one with the Celestion V 30s because someone said that it dampens the mids more.. and I want loads of mids !! So maybe I'll get the original cab or the combo version and put other speakers in it.. mu ahhaha
You must tell us of your escapades with it my friend !
Another great thing about it is that it's not that expensive ! 1000 dollars for the combo or head.. compare that to Mesa, ENGL, and Krank ! Its superb !

Within the next couple of months...

Line6 Vetta II
Epiphone Blackbird
Caparison Horus/Jackson RR5 (Depending on monies)
Vintage Icon Strat
Possibly a Fender Jazz 5 string

And other assorted goodies, like a new tuner etc.

Also getting my M-II painted white, and a set of Nailbombs put in.

This has totally changed lol.

No more Vetta (Not yet anyways)
No more Blackbird
No more Caparison or RR5

I'm still getting my M-II painted, sticking with my Duncans though
Stil getting my cheap relic Strat
And I'm soon to get a Fender Jazz 4 string, I played a 5 not so long ago and hated it ha.
Guitar wise, I've managed to find a website that does cheap ESP/LTD EC-400s in tobacco Sunburst with Duncans etc, so I'm getting that.
My mates getting me a free Beyer Dynamic Opus 500 wireless too :D

I need new motors for my car windows. And I think I will be needing a water pump soon as well. Sucks living in a desert sometimes. And a new pair of sneakers and a new pair of running shoes. And some good beer for the weekend.

Well, I'll be soon to be going to college and I just bought a Black Macbook. I cannot wait for it to get here..
Also, recentley I've been looking more and more into Carvin and I saw that they sell guitar kits that you can build ! And it's sparked childhook memories of building Gundam models.. so I really want to purchase one, and if I do I'll be finding a book on how to paint guitars and get some kinda custom guitar paint on it or something. I'll also be buying a new amp in the new place I'll be ( most likely a roland cube 30x or 60 ).
Very excited right now ! Woo !

If you're still on the fence...the Carvin kits are GREAT. I've been considering one for a long time now...if I get it I think I'm going to do a Burnt/Stained Blue finish like the Jem7bsb (the model marcel coenen used to use). The only thing I dont like with them is they don't give options on the fretboard woods.

I made mine Carvin Kit a basic natural Tungoil finish, and it came out like this:

Someday when I get my garage back, I will make a guitar from scratch. That seems like a long way away though. Maybe once my son is in preschool... That's only three years away! Or maybe we should just move and then I'll force the issue for a clean garage workshop. Yeah, looks like I'll be waiting either way.

The AC in my car is broken. So that needs to be fixed.

more long range:
Roland Digital 88 key weighted keyboard.
A "nice" drumkit.
Sell GT-6, buy GT-8 (or none)
Tubescreamer.
A Warwick or Carvin bass with an Eden head and a nice 8x10.

Mark: Dude I've done that and it's VERY rewarding. It was an amazing experience and a hell of a three months.

Yeah, Ken, I know. You said you would post pics, but you never did. What's up with that???

Anyway, I have a slab of mahogany for the body and a couple chunks of maple to choose from for the neck, as well as a maple board for the fretboard. I have templates to build the old JPM model (which I dig in a huge way) and that's what I have reserved for the mahogany. I also have a slab of swamp ash, but it's only 17" long - I think I'll design something custom for that. Perhaps all the way from the start of layout through total build.
