I braved the long drive to San Diego last night, to see the Mighty Maidens play another great set of Iron Maiden classics... Another great, well attended show, with a very enthusiastic crowd (brought a big smile to my face :) )
The Maidens debuted a brand new tune... FEAR OF THE DARK! and the crowd went nuts, doing the Helsinki chant very loud... it was grand...
Among the highlights: Revelations (Aja shines here), Phantom of the Opera, The Trooper (both the Union Jack and the Stars n' Stripes were waved by Aja here... yeah... I know... military town and all... but it was cool) and another great rendition of Remember Tomorrow...
After the show, I had a nice chat with Aja and then a long chat with Wanda (thanks again for that Wanda... it was great to finally say more than "hello" to you! :) )
Next, the Maidens will return to the Valley to play Paladino's next month... I'm already psyched!!!!:hotjump:

Thanks for coming to the show, Keyser!! Can't wait to see the pix and vid!

It was great to see some familiar faces in the crowd, like Jeff Milne, who was there for his 31st show! (WOW! :headbang: )

It was nice meeting you as well, Red Shirt! I love putting a face to all the BBers!

The show was a blast and even though many people were probably tired from a long working day, we all recharged with a heavy dose of that Maidenly love!! :Spin:

I'm really looking forward to the Paladino's show. Since we won't have to "run to our cars" so we can get home in one piece, as it's just a hop and a skip from home, it'll give me a chance to hang out a little longer with everyone afterwards! Can't wait!! :D

sounds like you guyz had a blast....how about having a live video broadcast next time for those of us not in cali :p hehe ....its not a bad idea you know seriously!!!

Where were you? I didn't see ya.
I was onstage, but I was too busy trying to get pictures... Took me a while to get some good shots of Adrienne and Aja... I hope the video turned out ok... I accidentally turned off the camera while trying to zoom in from the back during Fear of the Dark... THAT pissed me off :(

I made it out there on Friday and you girls ROCK! :worship: I've been telling my friends here at home that if you ever come to our state they have got to see your show. I would've liked to have had the chance to say hi, but I had to leave during Run To The Hills to catch a cab back to my hotel. Anyway that was an excellent show, thanks for making my business trip to San Diego a hell of alot more fun than usual!

Finally got to meet Aja and what a performance it was! I was disappointed with the late start of the opening AC/DC trib band cuz that cut into the maidens play time, the result was a shorter list! :bah: However, I was impressed with their performance. I would've never thought that a female could sound like Bon Scott.

A big THANK YOU for the bands decision to bring back the song KILLERS! You knew that was my fav song :headbang: I was able to find a front row position to watch the band play and it was right in front of Sara. I tell ya, you can't stop her from rocking out! Despite the fact that her foot is in a cast which forced her to be glued to a chair during the show, she was rocking out big time!!! :headbang:

After working 80 hours in 7 days, it was nice to drive down to diego and just unleash it all! Great chats with the band before/after was nice too. However, that drive back can be brutal at 3am. Fortunately there's a rest area just off the freeway on the way home (thank god!), cuz I pulled in there and snoozed for about 4-5 hours. Woke up feeling great and made it the rest of the way home no problem.

I saw Jeff Milne there, but didn't get a chance to chat with him. Hats off to you...31 shows, wow! I lost count (I need a show list to re-count it), but I know it's atleast 20.

Fortunately I copied the list of shows from the website before it was removed.
I can send it to you Red. I think you, Keyzer/Jackie and I are the three people who've seen them live the most times.

Well, I would say "hell yeah", but the wife won't be too keen on that idea. Sorry......:Smug: The only help I can give you is some suggestions for hotels in my area, but thats clear on the opposite side of the valley from where the Maidens would be playing. :erk: Its a long drive from my house, but so far it has been totally worth it. :headbang:
