Nope. Meduno...really small village in the mountains. About 10 km from Spilimbergo, which is one of the oldest towns in Italy. There's a church there from like 900 A.D. or so. Here's a pic from the neighboring village, Solimbergo. Meduno is the village in the background next to the mountains.

I understand Italian far better than I speak it. It's been 6 years since I've had a course on it. Skipped it in highschool cause all the assclown clubbing hipster yuppie scum attended that class. (they were mostly southerners anyway, dirty fucking slimeball inferior Italians)

I speak Italian, but only because I learned it in the time I've been here. I can carry on a conversation all day but I have some difficulties with the "high" Italian; you know, the bullshit in legal contracts and shit like that. It's difficult to understand in English, too.
Italian is so splintered into dialects that many Italians can't understand what the other is saying because it's dialect. They learn their local dialect first, then go to school to learn the official Italian language, the one invented by Dante.

Haha, we call those terroni. It's a really rude term and is kinda like calling them my pals. Basically Naples and below is considered terroni. They're the ones who have given the US the Italian stereotype of mafia, pasta, laziness and adding vowels to the end of every word. It's not always true and they get a bad rap usually...but sometimes it IS true.
