So Chromatose and I have been discussing:

clamatoboy: gooooooood
The Moonkultdawn: because it RULES
clamatoboy: yes it does
The Moonkultdawn: and I probably should rank it among my favorites of all time
clamatoboy: yeah
clamatoboy: i was thinking that too
clamatoboy: i really should
clamatoboy: because it is
clamatoboy: i just don't think about it
The Moonkultdawn: yeah, you don't
The Moonkultdawn: I didn't either
The Moonkultdawn: until like one day I was like
The Moonkultdawn: wait
The Moonkultdawn: this is AWESOME
The Moonkultdawn: IT IS TOTALLY AWESOME
clamatoboy: yeah
clamatoboy: and when i come back to it
clamatoboy: its EVEN BETTER than i remember
The Moonkultdawn: I thought it was awesome before, but then I thought that was because I was just a stupid n00b. Now I know for sure that it. is. awesome!!!
The Moonkultdawn: man
clamatoboy: just now listening i heard some parts of songs that totally made me say "WTF THIS RULES"
The Moonkultdawn: I don't know how people could have initially reacted to this back in 1996
The Moonkultdawn: I mean
The Moonkultdawn: it's so ahead of everything else that I know of at the time
clamatoboy: yeah
clamatoboy: i was thinking this too
clamatoboy: hahah
clamatoboy: retracing my thoughts
The Moonkultdawn: even if it was released today
clamatoboy: I know

Thoughts?

Weird, I actually listened to this in its entirety the other day for the first time in years.

7.5/10.

I'm a former In Flames fanboi who was disenchanted by their new stuff. It was almost bad enough to drive me to rap.... if rap didn't make their new stuff seem amazing.

Actually, the Subterranean EP is arguably the best thing that In Flames ever did.
Arguably, because The Jester Race is also arguably the best thing they ever did.

Everything up to Reroute to Remain was pretty damned awesome, especially for the time....

Reroute to Remain has a few decent songs and has a few moments for me. But it was soo crap at the time.... Soundtrack... fuck me... just horrible.

I still listen to Reroute occasionally. There is some quite solid material on there. Some crap to filter through, but some good stuff still to be found.

I'm not gay. >_>
