Those are not all the songs, I did remove the not so good ones

I used to love "The Jester Race" a whole lot. It has grown old, much more so than "Colony." I still think "Moonshield", "Lord Hypnos", "December Flower" and a couple of others are really good, but overall "Colony" is the stronger album

Moonshield > TJR and Colony

Maybe that's where it comes from. Moonshield was my first metal song even before I heard "Blackwater Park" (which I usually claim as my first experience with this style of music).

Maybe, but for me all melodic death metal has a short attention span, I played the hell out of Colony at the time but it fell by the wayside as I started exploring other genres...
