The last 5-10 albums you listened to

Nirvana - In utero
Richard Jacques - Sonic R (soundtrack)
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Lobotomized - Norwegian Trash
Mephistofeles - Satan Sex Ceremonies

First time hearing In utero for me. Obviously I've heard a bunch of the songs on their own, but glad to finally hear the whole thing. Fucking rules.

Nirvana was a stepping stone for me on my way to Metal. I was a big fan when I was about 15. Lots of quality material on all of those albums I had: Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero, Incesticide, Unplugged. I haven't listened to them much in years but maybe I should remedy that.

I had a weird journey: Age 14:Creed -> Age: 15 Nirvana -> Age 16: Opeth

always interesting to see people’s journeys. I went like:

13: led zep/queen/van halen/acdc/zz top -> 14: ozzy/sabbath/metallica

got into Nirvana a bit later but still liked/like all those other bands

I'd heard their first two albums and that early EP before this. I need to get to Incesticide and that MTV unplugged live album next.

Speaking of journeys, I was a staunch anti-grunge person growing up and so I retardedly missed out on a lot of good shit until like the last 5 years.

Exhumed - Gore Metal
Vader - Solitude in Madness
Unleashed - Where No Life Dwells
Tombmold - Planetary Clairvoyance
Schizophrenia - Recollections of the Insane
Megadeth - The Sick, The Dying, and the Dead

New Megadeth seems like a step down from Dystopia. Vocals are better than I expected but it seems like there are a lot of recycled riffs.

Dismember - Death Metal
Sockeye - Barf on a Globe
Perversion - Dies Irae
Captain Three Leg / Decomposing Serenity - split

That new Perversion album is a ripper.

Sloth / Weluvpot - I Did Not Know Chris Gilles Yet I Felt Sadness When I Received Information That He Died / Stoned Grown Grind
Sloth - Joy Is Gone from Our Hearts
Sloth - Mega Canoe
Angry Hate - Bad Mood

Listened to a lot of Sloth in the last week or so. Their doom/sludge/noise rock era is some of my favourite music ever but I wish someone would put it all on a CD comp. Having to fuck around with so many 7 inch and split records is retarded.

Surprised by how much I didn't enjoy that Absu album any longer. I wonder what changed...
