The latest Lord-Alge mix

At first I was like "what big snare is this guy talking about" :err:
And then came the chorus *SLAM* :headbang:
Gotta love that 80s vibe in the chorus, great song!
Must admit I'm not that much into Meat Loaf at all, but I really dig this track...
More 80s revival songs please! :worship:

EDIT
I've learned that the one responsible for this song is Justin Hawkins... Now, that explains everything, especially the lyrics

something about the kick I dont like. I think its too fast or something, but only when its by itself, in the mix it sounds great.

cant put my finger on it tho.

If you don't love that chorus by the end of the song, you are not human! The verses are shit tho, but when has that ever stopped me from listening to a track? :)

I really think Meat Loaf was, is and always will be complete shit, but this song proves that even a fat singer with a good-but-not-very-recognizable voice can still totally rule if you give him an awesome chorus!

You knew Meat's collaboration with Justin Hawkins was going to yield amazing results!

The guy is the current king of grandiose rock and pulls awesome hooks out of thin air!

Take away Meatloaf's vocals and add Justin and it's a Darkness tune! AWESOME!

Can't help but feel that if Randy did this it would sound even more immense.

Especially after hearing the Alice In Chains album, definitely agreed. Staub does HUGE mixes.

I guess I'm not human. I didn't like it at all

jeeeeesus.
sounds like a fucking sub drop on the snare or summmit.
rediculous
hilarious
genius
loved it
loved meatloaf when i was a kid

Hail the almighty loaf. Seriously though, he's an aquired taste and I'm glad there's others out there my age who can appreciate it cuz everyone I hang out with thinks I'm nuts when some meat loaf pops up on my MP3 player.

Edit: After listening multiple times, I think it's awesome that this guy could still have a hit on a pop radio station right now. Even at his age.

I think it helps that the verse is really shit, it's like the ultimate contrast. Shit verse, almighty chorus. I can dig that just as much as I can dig awesomeness all the way through a song. :kickass:

Skinny: I think he sounds like every other decent coverband singer. Of course his songs are recognizeable, because they are so famous, but if you play a non-single from the new-album to me, I wouldn't know who it is.

But that's my point: the song is and will always be king.

Öwen: and you are totally right. Keith Richards once said "we make the verses kinda shitty on purpose, so the choruses stick out more" - it's a tried and true method.
