Legitimately? That's cool, I just assumed it was unofficial. But yeah I'm loving this new trend, it's one of the main things that got me to start buying blu ray and now I'm kinda interested in trying to replace my whole DVD collection with blu ray.

Definitely legit. Whenever one of these smaller companies licenses a movie its one of the ways they can push the product (besides for new scans/transfers of the films). They try to appeal to the collector with interviews, special features, new/alternate art etc. Especially if the movie has already previous releases.

here are a few off the top of my head...

yeah i have a few movies that have an alternate cover on the backside. Band of the Hand has it, but it also didn't have a pop up menu and no chapter select or anything, very barebones. Fuckin' Mill Creek. :bah:

I always loved the poster for The Thin Blue Line. Makes it look like a thriller, although the movie's a documentary.

Haven't seen this movie yet, but the poster really speaks to me.

As you can tell form my first post, i'm a sucker for posters with bad ass cars and vehicular destruction.

Another goodie..

... the legendary .475 Wildey Magnum

the alternate cover for the upcoming Maximum Overdrive BR is pretty cool too..

Here's the cover for the Predator steelbook that came out a few months ago. Not really a fan of this kind of artwork but some of you might dig it.
