Am I the only one who doesn't see the 'new found anger' in this one? They seem to be less angry, and almost 'a new found light...'
Don't get me wrong, I think the lyrics are awesome, but a few lines is just 'meh' and 'what does he mean?'

Like;

"Take me to a higher plane
[...]
There is a pained angel
[...]
He will shelter you from harm
And sing to you throughout your darkest hours"

Has he found God or something?

Ah, so this isn't one of those serious boards where you actually discuss the band, thats cool.

:)

Warrel is generally pretty cryptic when asked about the meanings behind his lyrics because he wants everybody to have their own personal interpretation. As far as the "new found rage" - I think he is just as cynical and angry as ever:

"Welcome to this violent station
The termination proclamation
All who enter here are killed
Prepare for death forget will"

"Welcome to the underground
Welcome to your grave
Welcome to your beautiful mistake"

"Welcome to planet hate
To this emotion that I berate
Yet some people force me to feed my violent seed"

"Your petulant seed is a dying breed
This is why I hate you"

"Stack your stones with blood and bones
And build your wall of separation
Smash yourself and kill your friends
And build your wall of separation"

"The snakes arrive to assist and surround the stage
Black expression is force-fed rage"

The blades align in indifference they feed the plague
This black agenda of hate is born of pain"

Still looking ????

As I said, I think the lyrics are very good, but I don't see the new found anger, actually. They are still angry, as always, but nothing over the top.

Something just feels a bit off, somehow...

regarding the 'newly found anger' i think wd was actually just conjuring up the same statements he made before enemies came out. he said the EXACT same phrase when asked about that record. and that record does have some angry fucking lyrics.
