The New Album Thread

We've decided to take the rest of the year off from playing shows so I can finally finish the darn thing...

Good idea, please finish it before Christmas! (Ok, I know this is an unrealistic wish)
But another Christmas song would be awesome! I loved "Deck The Joy"!

That clip sounds great. The guitar tone sounds different than the debut album, but still very good. I like a little variety album to album, so that's good. The biggest difference, though, has to be the real drums and the addition of double bass drumming. I thought your programmed drums were outstanding, but the addition of a real drummer to the band, and a good drummer to boot!, will make a whopping difference to the sound of Theocracy.

BTW, I have to say that you have one of the coolest band names ever!

I'm very, very excited for the new record. I hope you're enjoying putting it together.

Thanks guys. Those were actually only scratch guitar tracks; the tone on the album will be more refined (I just recorded those quickly for reference). I agree, though...I really think Shawn's going to blow people away with his drumming. His playing has such personality, and I really wanted to make sure I brought that out on the record, which is why we did so many different takes of all the songs. He adds a HUGE new dimension to the signature of the band.

Great that you have that philosophy for the new record. I love when drummers are given space in songs.

Will this album have the lyrics in the booklet inside the cd case?

Actually this is more of a request rather than a question :)

It could be a CD-R with "theocracy" written on it with a Sharpie and I'd still buy it.

Seriously though, the debut album had a full colour 12 page booklet and lyrics, why would this one be any less?
