Hi Guys--
I'm smack in the middle of recording vocals for the last (yes, LAST) song on the album. It's one of the longer ones, so there are a lot of vocals to do, but I can't believe that (Lord-willing) I'll be done with all the vocals in a couple of weeks. After that, just some final touches (keyboards, a few guitar solos and lead parts, etc.), and then it will be time for the final mixes. The "Martyr" mix came out quite good, so it's basically just a matter of working the other songs into that mold, sonically.
This song I'm singing now is pretty challenging; not so much from a technical point of view (high parts, etc.), but it tells a story, so I have to do a lot of self-producing to get the right character and mood across in the vocals, which involves a lot of trial and error. My throat feels rough this morning, but it's coming out OK so far.
Anyway, so that's where we're at.

Oh yeah, I don't want to get too excited, but we have one that's very interested and just waiting on me to finish. I hope it works out, because it will be a HUGE boost for us!

Well, if you're talking about a huge boost for you in the US, the biggest metal labels I can think of are nuclear blast, century, and metal blade. I'm sure you can't disclose that at this point, though We can't wait to hear it.

Finished the last of the vocals today.

Probably around 2 more weeks of various overdubs (keyboards, guitar solos, etc.), and the whole thing will be done (Lord-willing) and ready for the final mixes.
