The new Anthrax logo...

and totally uncalled for.
it's a piece of contrived trash.
they had the pentagram and people were digging that and now they have to get a new 'logo' that is a bit similar but has no real relevance to anything?! wtf.
to me it looks like a rip-off of that metallica one where it has the M rotated.
i guess scott wants to make some money from selling new t-shirts with a crappy new logo on it...

Actually, I imagine Bitchney designed it. Typical of his style. The "pentathrax" ripped off Slayer. The logo on the inside of TGoTE looked way tooo similar to the Ramones. This guy's "art" is imitation. Now, he's got a Metallica looking logo. Milano has this guy pegged.

I for one think the logo has significant relevance and is quite clever as it communicates the two distinct line ups of Anthrax, the current pentathrax over the old signifies the current reunion tour. Likewise the term "Greater of Two Evils" can also refer to the two distinct line ups.
In terms of the originality of the use of the pentagram - the symbol has been around since approx. 3500BC!!!! Used by many diff. organisations/civilisations/religious orders. Simply type in history of the pentagram into your search engine and away you go - it's really quite easy!!So does the symbols application reach its pinacle with Slayer or Metallica? And any other organisations/bands who uses it there after are merely ripping off these bands???
