The new BRUCE DICKINSON album has leaked.

If anybody has the Japanese only bonus track from The Chemical Wedding - "Return of the King" - could they be so kind and post it here via yousendit? :)

I heard 3 songs:
Kill Devil Hill: Thats an OPUS. Really epic, it reminds me a lot of "Neverending Fire" of Heaven's Gate though. The blues-y melodic ending is fabulus, and the chorus just brilliant
Power Of The Sun: Ok its a "hit", but its great for what it is. Very melodic, has a superbe riff when the solo is played.
Navigate The Seas Of The Sun: Undescribable. Yes its the most "commercial" ballad Dick-ie ever had, but its divine. It also has a strange feeling, bittersweet one, that i like. The lyrics are fantastic.

It's a good enough review (I agree with it, but he left out any mention of "Kill Devil Hill")!!

Still, the part that he's spot on about is the hunger in Bruce's solo music as compared to Maiden. AoB, CW, and now this has pretty much sealed the fact that Bruce & Roy Z are not a fluke. If Maiden quit tomorrow, I know things would be ok as long as Bruce carries on flying solo.....

As for Chemical Wedding, Bruce has his own "Powerslave" or "Beast" now and everyone will always make the comparison from this point on. I don't see the point (and this applies to any band with that 'one' album). And I think everyone recognizes that the last 3 Bruce albums are better than anything Maiden have done since 7th Son.

Indeed, CW is better than most Maiden albums PRE-7th Son.

Am I the only one who thought "Brave New World" kicked all kind of ass?

When I bought it, I did...I still think it has some excellent tracks on it like Ghost of the Navigator, Blood Brothers, and I even dig the hell out of the widely despised Nomad. But it has its fair share of uninspired Maiden by numbers tracks like The Mercenary...

I'm a little up in the air on the new Bruce. The album starts strong but lags in the middle big time--starting w/ the ballad and going through the next several songs. That motorcyle song is pretty horrible. It picks up again for the last two tracks. I need more listens to see if it takes a stronger hold.
