I know it's not "cool" to like Disturbed, but I've liked them since before anyone knew who they were, and I'm not about to stop because they're actually popular. It doesnt make them any worse.

Anyway, I think the new album kicks ass  . What do you all think?

I haven't picked up their new album yet, but will probably this weekend.

I've known about Disturbed ever since they were playing Champs Sports Bar down the street from where I grew up.

Fuzz, Dan, and Mike all grew up in the same area as me, and are very good to their roots (ie the SW 'burbs of Chicago). It's not uncommon to see them hanging out at local bars (I used to run into Fuzz all the time), or even local high school's battle of the bands.

Funny!!!!-It really pisses me off when I hear SHIT on the radio and fucking Anthrax can't seem to catch a break. Safe Home should have been on every rock station in the country, and still being played two years after it came out. But instead they will play crap like Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown and Chevelle.

Thats awesome, did you ever meet them?

Oh, I'm gonna add you on livejournal, is that ok?

87th and Central. played there a few times myself. By the way "Safe Home" was on the radio getting some good airplay in Chicago. That's probley why MOMD was filmed at the Metro. That says a lot because Chicago has a pretty lame music scene(compared to other big cities). There is a lot of cover/tribute bands but, only a few places on the southside have worth while original music and, a couple cool places up north. Hey Remington69 check out "American Motherload" if you havn't already. They're local guys (Chicago and Northern Indiana).

Disturbed is one of the few bands from this era that I like.
I'll be picking this CD up very soon.
But then,....I think John Bush rules, so what do I know?.......... :Spin:

I love Disturbed man they kick ass and if other people don't like them then that is ok as it is down to personal prefrence but as for me i can't stand any emo crap but yeah i like disturbed and have done for years ever since their demo.

Yeah I love disturbed, saw them live once and I couldn't believe what an awesome frontman the singer is, he's stoic while he sings but his rants in between songs are so intelligent. He gave a speech about how heavy metal music gives you self-esteem and told everyone that they better not leave the show without feeling that they can conquer the world, even pointed at the door and said there will be no losers walking out that door when this show is over, only winners. His lyrics are great and I loved the show, definitely an act to catch.

Well coming from an OLD old school fan I have to admit being a Disturbed fan. Must get their newbie.

Why did this old thread get bumped? The "new" Disturbed album is over two years old now!

:Smokin:dude, disturbed isnt a bad band, i listen to them, sure there not like insane thrash metal like i listen to the most. its not bad to like em'.:Smokin:
