I am assuming you listen to metal since you are posting on a metal forum, and for someone to listen to metal and say something like that is pure stupidity.
How so?

I'm still fairly new to the whole metal scene. I was a classic rock guy until last year. I keep hearing so much about Judas Priest and Iron Maiden but never got a chance to check them out. Any recommendations for me to start with?

"A best of" is kind of vague, since Iron Maiden seem to release another Best Of album every year or so (and for the record, I own them all... *ahem*).
Most people would recommend Number of the Beast, Peace of Mind, or Powerslave. I don't really know what kind of stuff you like, though. My personal favourite of those three is Powerslave. If you're going to just get a Best Of, I'd say "Best of the Beast".

And probably more than 90% of metal bands in the world are influenced by Iron Maiden and/or Judas Priest.

^I want to ask you something since you have the entire catalogue of them.
Did you find some similarities between Brave New World and Dance Of Death? IMO I didn't like it they're quite the same album (the compositions sounded the same to me)
Did you like the album?

I didn't think that Brave New World and Dance of Death were all that similar. But that might be because I didn't really like Dance of Death and haven't listened to it all that much. I felt the songs were a bit too long at times.
I felt that with Brave New World, there was a kind of 'new lease of life' with them getting Bruce Dickinson back. I really like that album (even though there are about four chord progressions throughout the entire album, but dammit, I really like those chord progressions).

Hm. Their sound has definitely changed. The ol' "galloping" feel of the old stuff is very rare now. The last two albums, for the most part, have been quite a bit slower. A couple of tracks on BNW have an 'epic' feel, and most of Dance of Death also has that feel. The kind of feel that usually appears in power metal, with grand orchestras and such.
