the new judas priest album

i've been listening to Angel of Retribution for a while now and i pretty much agree with you guys.

their old stuff is as good, if not a lot better. the new album isn't anything to :OMG: over, but its good music nonetheless. all i gotta say is it's not going to get as much play time when new PT & Opeth come out. or when i get Orphaned Land's latest.

^ yeah i can understand what you're saying about it being nothing new or creative, i agree. i'm not one of the people who was like OMG the album fuckins owns my life, i mean, it's good, but nothing new.

also, ernie, i dunno why everyone thinks British Steel is so good, and it's their best, i'm not very impressed by it. it's just like commercial-ish sounding to me, i like breaking the law and grinder a lot, but..the album just doesn't do it for me, and i dont get why everyone jizzes about it.

British Steel has killer songs, but shitty sound. I don't like the cheesy songs on it (United and Living After Midnight), but I love Rapid Fire, Grinder, Breaking the Law, Metal Gods and The Rage.
Painkiller and Screaming for Vengeance are my favorite Priest albums though.
