The real deal comes out June 26 .. just placed my preorder. There's a promo w/ voiceovers that is tiding me over until then.
I don't know why, but I was nervous about this release. I thought the Never Ending Hill track was solid, but I was hoping it wasn't the best the disc had to offer ... it's not. There are several tracks that I think are superior.
I really think what King has lost in the way of the sky high vocals he's made up for with song writing, catchiness, and atmosphere. I like those haunting little backing vocals that pop up quite a bit, and as always Andy LaRocque's playing is excellent ... there's lots of tasty stuff on this disc.
Anyone else have any thoughts ... I'm really very pleased. I loved The Puppet Master, but I wouldn't be suprised to see this one pass it up.
If anyone was interested in that pre-order check out . http://www.metalblade.com/king/preorder.html
A little over $12 with shipping.
