I don't know hy no one thought of it. While I was watching the "Shaman" DVD and "Sign Of The Cross", I knew Avantasia wouldn't happen but what about Aina? Tha would piss off the Europeans. That has to be it!!!!!! Its brand new as well!!!!!!!!!

I'm pulling for a melodic death metal / euro-thrash type band.. In Flames, Warmen, etc..

OR (edit here - just came to me)

Nightrage.. since the guys from Evergrey will be there anyhow (odds are) then they can do that duet song (name slips my mind though), I picked that disc up at last year's PP merchants and it's pretty intense.

It's safe to assume Aina isn't going to happen for the same reason Avantasia isn't going to happen. It would simply mean having to fly in way too many singers and musicians, for just one act in a festival.

Nightrage would really be an extremely pleasant surprise! I would cast my vote for them.

I highly doubt a band as death metal oriented as Nightrage would be on the bill. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing them but I also would mostly not care. I'd rather a more fitting band like Dark Tranquillity end up on a progpower oddball bill, but they've got nothing going on right now...so I dunno.

Yes, I can't see how you can think Aina will be there, if Glenn told us no Avantasia. Aina would be equally, if not harder then Avantasia to do. Unless they collasped the singers into like a Star One thing, with only 3 singers covering the parts *But on Star One that's how it was on album too*. Really, I doubt it...that's why Tobias should just do a one time Avantasia concert for DVD...would be incredible.

But I just hope the oddball band is someone like Mercenary! They were really great and I don't even like that type of music. I hope it's not like Devin Townsend though...I'm sorry...that wasn't an oddball for me...that one just disgusted me.

mandaX beat me to it...Freak Kitchen

some people may not know it...but...mattias e. elkundh is an absolute, unbelievable, incredible, extraordinary.... ah....he is a badass on the fretboard

If it is indeed Nightrage that means Dream Evil or Firewind is possible both being power metal bands featuring Gus G. who is in Nightrage. I would think Dream Evil has a better chance than Firewind.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Into Eternity! I was informed they'll be touring the US relatively soon (and it makes sense with their new disc and all), so hopefully Atlanta will be one of their stops. :D
