I really dig it myself, my only suggestion would be to place the royal carnage logo above the ship.

yeah that's a good idea. what's shown above is only a rough idea. the ship itself looks like crap and i got the mast on crooked, but i can re-do all that. how about some subtle water underneath? fog?
