Greetings, metal brethren
First time poster here. I was at the Metro show. I spent most of the show upstairs and almost caught that last drumstick Charlie tossed to the right side of the balcony. I was also at the first House of Blues gig when they opened for Motorhead last May, and the uber-badass Chicago Heights show. I've been lurking here since the HOB show......saw this thread, and figured now would be a good time to introduce myself....
So hey, hi, hello, what's up. I'm a Chicago metalhead. Sorta. I was an Anthrax fan in high school, but lost track of them after Sound of White Noise. Yeah, big gap. I've got some catching up to do. For the record, I'd like to state that WCFYA rocks so hard it makes my ears bleed, and it deserves every fucking award it has won.
You may or not believe me, but I'm in the Safe Home video. If you look closely, you'll see me at the 4:01 mark (during Rob's solo). I'm the Asian guy with the metallic shades. My buddy Tom and I were there at the Rolling Stone Records signing and were lucky enough to be picked out of the line for the video footage. What a great day.
Ok, this is a little long for a first post, but I just wanted to say hey what's up to the other Chicago Thrax fans & the rest of the board members whose posts I've been reading for the past nine months. Y'all are cool, and yes.....I vote for Anthrax on 94.7 daily
