The One Sad Moment From THE RECKONING

I've already posted my review on the spectacular RECKONING single, but I failed to mention the sad part. I suppose I wasn't trying to dwell on it.

But there was a part during "When The Eagle Cries (Unplugged)" where...I believe I heard Matt Barlow's back-up vocals.
On the credits, he is listed as a back-up vocalist, since he did originally record the vocals before his departure. Of course, the song itself is about 9-11, so it already has a sorrowness to it, but hearing the faint vocals of Matt was kind of, well...sad.

Did any of you hear Matt, or is it just me?

I heard him as well. Yeah, it made me kind of sad..because chances are that will be the last song you'll hear Matt on. Just gave me this weird inner-sadness.

Kind of like reopening a wound. The memory of hearing he left Iced Earth is still fresh...at least in my mind.



And I was so hoping for the glory of Matt Barlow on the Set Abominae Concept Album.

Okay, that may be pretty cool...

But it may still be weird without Matt. I'm still up for it, don't get me wrong.

Weird how this thread popped up. I was listening to it yesterday with my g/f and I heard him. I pointed it out but she's not really a metalhead so she didn't know what I was talking about.
