I, too, would agree that the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" is a pure metal song. The screaming, the riff....it's friggin HEAVY!

And "Yer Blues" was a precursor to Zeppelin for sure.

Personally,i think that Helter Skelter had all to prepare the future in hard rock and Metal! Have you heard the voice of Mccartney??? He was at his top potentially... I don't have nothing against Motley Crue(i love em) but their cover of Helter Skelter( if you listen closely,Vince Neil choked on the sentence " Till i get to the bottom and I SEE YOU AGAIN "! Neil,according to me was not able to do more... And yeah, the aggressive guitar, the pounding beat and the Great bass playing marked me for good...

I have both their albums my faves are 'Sgt. Hetfield's Motorbreath pub band', ' I Want To Choke Your Band', 'The Thing That Should Not Let It Be', and 'Hey Dude', but all are good and the way the hit hard on her in 'Lepper Madonna' worth the world.
