that had been the result of an infamous "anti-wichteln"-game at new year's eve, where everyone had to bring something really awful he or she owned, and the "presents" were then randomly (through a dice game of sorts) distributed - the kite (vintage, 15 years old) was what i got in the end but i have to admit there were even more ridiculous presents, like some odd pieces of porcelain which can only be described with "awful".
