Well, my parents renamed me (actual legal name changes) several times as a kid, and by the time they finally picked one, I was such a confused kid that I would start crying every time people asked me what my name was because I didn't know anymore.
People called me by a lot of random nicknames throughout my youth, because I didn't like the name my parents decided on, and then when I graduated high school I decided that when I moved across the country to go to college, I'd change my name and start fresh. I moved back home after a year and a half to go to UW but the name stuck.
