I wore them at gigantour. they FILTER out feedback and you HEAR the MUSIC better.

and you don't go deaf which is nice. I wear earplugs at shows now because i go to a lot and really don't want to risk my hearing. Occasionally i forget them though.

Indeed. It kinda "smoothens" the music. But somehow it's still seen as 'pansy' by many die-hards. Of course, said die-hards wouldn't even hear if a train hurtled past them, but they're metal enough not to mind that.
