The Rugby World Cup tv programming

It's pathetic! Same happens with rugby league during the season, and the AFL in the northern states (from what I hear). :(

We don't even get League down here. It's a shame, because I've found I quite enjoy watching rolling mauls. They should be introduced into more sports. Like cricket, for example.

I like when they stomp on their heads repeatedly like its just part of the game.

LOL, yeah that would be nice going to one of the pubs and watching the games, i've found i like Union better than League because of how they play on.

when Ireland plays Australia in the gaelic football next week or the week after an irish pub is gonna have free beer on the tap

"Because of how they play on"? They barely play as it is, what with all the stoppages! 10 minutes of football spread out over 80 minutes!

I especially like it when someone scores a 90 metre try, it's all over the news and people say how awesome it is, yet you see three or four of those in one weekend of rugby league.

That would be a "try". :)

The one where they roll te ball back is league. I reckon it's much better that way, cos it gets the game going straight away, rather than having an all-in where people stamp on each other's heads and scrotums.

The reason they can't kick it to someone down the other end is because they'd be offside.

The way to tell the difference between league and union - league is better. Union is boring and dull and has 50 point scorelines without a single try being scored.

Why's the crowd getting so worked up about Aust scoring tries against Romania? It's like thinking you're tough after kicking a baby.

DM, it's cos tries are much more exciting to watch than people just taking shots from thirty yards out. The bulk of the points in league come from tries, but in union a much higher percentage seem to come from kicking.

Nice win by the mighty Engerlernd last night!
