the storm of last november

^ that sounds excellent and I will try it actually!!

I did say "tofu for the most part sucks"
because it's so hard to find well made tofu that doesn't taste like a candle, but when you find good dishes with tofu - it's great!
In fact just yesterday I ate an awesome tofu dish for lunch :)

I'm saving the recipe, Warrel!

my favorite Chinese place in Seattle made this special for me all the time, it was a little hole in the wall mom and pop joint and sadly it's gone now, but the memory lives on.... *sigh*

I have friends in high places, I can make that happen.

I think I heard somewhere that the US government has a yearly budget for tofu research actually. They are trying to create tofu using industrial materials for a post apocalyptic situation, where our survival will be narrowed down to glue or oil made tofu.

I will ask my friends about it and get back to you.

Nothing saddens me more than to see my favorite places closing down...

At least you know how to make it in your own kitchen and relive the goodness of the tofu!

Oh Karen you must try Cantonese tofu, basically deep fried and as we all know you can't go wrong when you deep fry anything. So... first you marinate the tofu in soy sauce a little olive oil and fresh ginger and garlic, it has to be the firm stuff, none of that soft shit. Then you can either deep fry it or you can pan fry it if you don't have a deep fry thingy in your kitchen. Get a nice spicy black bean sauce from the market and smother those little tofu nuggets with it, then all you need to do is toss in some steamed broccoli and viola! Yummy!

:headbang:He's absolutely right on this. Mix in a cut boiled tomato, maybe some garlic, even salted minced pork. Gazzzims!
...I have this often.

Speaking of panang... I make killer panang chicken. 'tis true!

I love how my tax dollars are going towards important things like researching tofu.

It's ok, your tax dollars are also going towards a yearly budget of astral projection and paranormal activity research. Conclusions from said research are still unknown, but rest assure that every year they make progress despite the fact that some citizens keep their evidence to themselves.
I am hoping and praying that soon we can all enjoy the fruits of the hard working scholars and scientist who made this their life work.

The world already has it, it is called SOYLENT GREEN.

Charlton Heston exposed it to the world. Edward G. Robinson died after learning it's secret.
