hey guys!
title says it all, post your best classic music pieces here.

anything from the obvious Beethoven #5 to the most unknown pieces
the point is getting other people to discover pieces that might be amazing but didn't get the respect they deserve.

please only post pieces that you're deeply touched by, not just anything!

i'll start:

One of the hardest classical guitar pieces ever written.
The trem technique in the right hand, GOD DAMN!
I had to learn this for a grade 8 classical exam but never pulled it off like this guy.

One of my favourite pieces is the 3rd Symphony by Brahms. 3rd act conducted by Sergiu Celibidache

So beautiful and sad.
I think he wrote it after his mentor Robert Schumann died.

Awesome music here^ Especially Albinoi :) Mates, du you know this one?

It´s the most beautiful song ever for me. No single Metalsong was able to give me goosebumps like that.

amazing.

the second movement isn't bad either.

I guess if you write this at the age of 16 you destined for great things..

you're missing the truly incredible fact tough...

no guitar pro
no cubase
no pro tools
no mics
no VSTi's
no plugins
not even a simple tape recorder

just a man, a piano and a piece of paper
that's how they wrote symphonies that were meant to be played by an entire orchestra! UNBELIEVABLE!

one thing that did cross my mind is that they didn't have any real influences they could listen to besides maybe pieces they liked playing in their head, therefore anything they wrote was original

think of a metal band who has NO influences, anything they play will be as creative as fuck!
but nevermind im hijacking my own thread here...

great work keep it coming!

I think the likes or Mozart, Bach and the other Baroque guys really where the very definition of genius.

They produced this almost out of thin air. yes they had some influences but they completely defined music as we know it from the very notes themselves to the structures we use to arrange songs.

Its artistic vision beyond anything anyone will every reach again..

I'm stunned, and not by the technique. It's just so beautiful (and played so beautifully).

You are so right. their is nothing greater than a master playing a piece this difficult with such ease and make it so full of emotion. I have been listening to this song for years and years and I get chills every time.
Check out more works from Fransisco Terraga for more beautiful spanish classical guitar works. Also, my other fav composer Antonio Lauro.
