I didn't get much worth crowing about, but the missus and I did shell out for a nice fancy kitchenaid professional mixer. fuck the artisan, we want to make bread.

also, with regards to the iPod: I would never, ever get one simply because I hate the itunes app so much. If I had an apple, it might not be such a big deal, but I really am not into the way it takes over your computer's media controls. I much prefer my creative zen device that plugs straight into the usb and works like a flash drive.

and yes, I know there are itunes workaround apps for moving files, but again: it's lame that you would even need such a thing.

I feel you on iTunes - I find it's default behavior to be awfully invasive, it's not hard to get it to a level I feel mostly comfortable with, but iTunes is a terrible app to be the default media player on a system. I like the cataloguing aspect for my permanent collection, but I don't want it tracking some random mp3 I downloaded for the fuck of it in the library.

Oh, and yeah it is weird to be starting from scratch, but so it goes. In 2 months it'll just be the funny story of my move to SF.
