Wow, great movie. Mickey Rourke has to be the most underrated actor in Hollywood.

Marisa Tomei was fucking smokin' too.

Yeah, it was really something else. Everyone in that movie was perfectly casted, and really understood the issues involved in the wrestling world. If you've ever met one of these aging performers, you know that they hit it hard and it hits them. It's a tough life.

It was so gritty and so not Hollywood...very realistic and a very eye-opening portrayal of REAL people.

It's not unlike an aging band past their prime, reduced to playing clubs and frat parties yet still holding on to their dream. The soundtrack was perfect.

I love how Vince McMahon used to slam that flick back and forth prior to its theatrical release for giving the prof. wrestling biz a bad rep... Then the movie gets released to much critical and commercial success... and BAM! - there goes Mickey Rourke to Wrestlemania.

Loved the movie. But the whole "Mickey's back from the gutter" marketing spin... yeah, come on.

Kickass flick, and a great ending.

Rourke was a perfect choice for this movie because it was quite like his own life. He was originally a boxer and then somehow got into showbiz. He then made 9 1/2 Weeks, which was a huge hit, only he faded away into obscurity after that. He then started boxing again until the doc told him he doesn't know how many more punches he could take before serious injury, and then he started acting again. Then all of a sudden, BAM! Fuckin' Sin City blows up.

He also was a fantastic meth cook in Spun. That movie ruled hard.

He's been steadily making his comeback and doing really good flicks over the last several years. I wouldn't really say he's up and out of nowhere, though.

On topic, this movie does look great. The guy he played in Sin City was my favorite character in the whole movie.
