The Yellow and Black Attack

Now that's a metal story! I think pure irony would be if he put the album on and started a stanic cult in his town.

"You'd think before committing suicide or satanism to your favorite record, you'd at least read the liner notes!"

Well, I'm truely the most unmetal guy to begin with. I never have looked the part of the stereo typical fan of the genre. It really shocked and has continued to shock people that I listen to this stuff...

That cover was never "banned." It was only made for a limited number of copies by Enigma as a marketing ploy.
the truth prevails!

Sweet does have a great voice, I was watching some clips the other night but they still dont appeal to me much. The live concert clips look like a massive fundamentalist church event :hypno: scarry...

Where did you get your information?

I have a very long memory for really useless information, especially since I grew up in that era.

The illustrated cover of "To Hell With the Devil" was limited to 100,000 copies, on vinyl (remember, CD was not the dominating format and was still quite expensive to replicate). If you didn't get one of those copies, you were stuck with the black album cover with the Stryper logo and the title in red.

This was a marketing campaign by Enigma (who at the time had no worries with pushing Stryper's pop-metal) with an album that would eventually go double platinum.
