After the garbage that is the Grammy's, I think the metal community should have its own Metal Award show. In this show you can have it hosted in metal hotbeds like in Germany, Sweden, the Bay Area, London, Norway and maybe Japan. Also the show can include different categories such as Best Death Metal Album of the Year, Newcomer Band of the Year, Best Black Metal Band of the Year, Lifetime Metal Acheivement Award and so on. Thoughts?

Im kind of disappointed you didn't put in Finland, Finland is coming out with some of the best bands around.

(JAPAN BEFORE FINLAND AND BOSTON, MA HAHAHAHAHA)

Seriously how can you exclude Boston, MA and Finland?!

The only way I could see one happening is if they treated it like an Ozzfest type thing, where 10-20 bands performed, and they had little intermissions where they would say XXXX won in this genre, but mostly it would be a kickass concert :)

With BM/DM/MDM/Hardcore/Metalcore/Grindcore/Thrash have like 3-4 bands in each genre perform, it would be like a 2 day thing :)

Boston, MA? That's the city in which I live. We don't have much of a metal scene, and I don't think there are any Boston bands that rank anywhere close to my favorites. All I can think of in terms of bands from Boston are The Red Chord, Watchmaker, Goratory, and Shadows Fall (who aren't even really from Boston, and I don't like at all).

DieCast
Killswitch Engage
Unearth (Winthrop, close enough)
Cannae
All That Remains
Embrace Today
Bury Your Dead

A ton more...... You might not like them, but they are extremely talented still. (Boston most noted for metalcore scene which alot of you hate so no wonder :) )
