the lyrics of the song "they will return".....


i understand the most of the text, but there are some things, i dont understand and those are making me don't understadn the whole text...

so could please somebody tell me whats the song about???

They Will Return, from what I can tell, is about the birds (not sure what type) migrating from Finland to wherever in the winter. When they do, the narrator of the song goes out hunting but doesn't down any. They'll be back when the seasons change again, thus 'They Will Return'. He 'will revenge' which I'm assuming means he'll shoot one down this time.
