I like it if it's interesting. If I just wanted to hear music with no interaction, I'd just listen to the album.
Even though Tobias' antics last year probably cost us two or three songs, I still enjoyed it.
What I can do without is the drum solos. Geez, you only get 90 minutes and you have several albums worth of material. Play a damn song!
I can do without covers too, unless the cover is something really special.
So I'd say the #1 thing I don't want to hear, above all else is, "This is our drummer! I hope you enjoy him! See you in ten minutes!"

yeah definitely hate drum solos and most covers, but Nightwish doing Symphony of Destruction was very effective and much better than the lame Crazy Train.
Yeah, if it's really cool. I guess that's in the eye of the beholder, but some bands will just pull out covers that have been done to death.
Therion will most likely do a cover or 2, I really hope they do some cool cover maybe something by Running Wild (Rivalry or Pile of Skulls would be awesome)
