Thinking about purchasing Slate Drums.

I would be using them for mostly metal and maybe some hard rock.

Do you think that the extra samples you get in the platinum version worth the $179 extra you pay for them?

In other words, does anyone who bought the LE version wish they had bought the platinum version?

I already have Addictive Drums, so I would be looking to use these as a replacement to that or in conjunction with that.

i like the fact that i have all the samples. you never know when you might need a lighter kick or snare or a different sounding drum sound all together. In my case, i do ALOT of stuff that is not metal at all so they work nice. you get the best of both worlds with the LE version.

You could just wait a bit and get the EX version (or whatever it is called) and then buy the metal expansion for that. It'll be about 150USD I think.
