I have an unusual decision to make and maybe some advice would help.
I have two 412 cabs....a 600watt mono Mesa/Boogie @ 8ohms.....and an el cheapo Hartke GH412a stereo 320 watts RMS @ 8 ohms mono, 4 or 16 ohms stereo.
Now I bought the Hartke on impulse because it was so cheap, but now have buyers remorse....or so I thought. For a cheap cab (real cheap the construction is highly questionable...but it's wireing is exactly like a marshall)
it sounds really nice. I mean EXCELLENT. thanks to the 4 Celestians, it sounded so much warmer than the mesa.....but the mesa was deffinately punchier. The Hartke is about 30lbs lighter than the Mesa....I can't imagine ever needing 600 watts anyway, and again...THE SOUND!!!! if there was a way to squish the two cabs together to make hybrid cab, I would, cuz both have qualities that I really like. I could get more $$$ for the MESA just cuz it's a MESA, or I can make quick cash for the Hartke because it's new, just got it. But at the same time...I really like both and don't want to sell either, but poor Matt is waiting for me to finish paying him off for his 5150 head.:erk:
WADOIDO???
