and is making me get on a panel to talk about "LIBRARY STRATEGIC PLANNING" nonsense in front of the whole staff two days after i get back from vacation.

no extra pay or anything. and i've spent ever mandatory "strategic planning" meeting just agreeing and nodding my head. i don't have a clue what any of the stuff they're talking about is.

so i'm going to look like a clueless fool in front of the whole library, and make my boss look bad, and they'll all realise i'd been faking that i had read the stacks of papers and paid attention to the meetings all along. GAH.

well, find someone else on that panel, and ask them ahead of time what their opinions are and ideas are. then work from those. (either disagreeing, agreeing, reworking etc) this is what i always do. everyone thinks i'm innovative, but i'm really just a lazy fuckwad.
