Very nice song/idea, Joey and pretty cool bass tone . I don't know how final it is and whether you are looking for some feedback, but I'd mention that the drums in the beginning are slightly annoying in their repetitiveness,

yeah i realize some of the parts are completely stupid
but this is literally just me picking up the guitar laying random shit down
then 5 - 10 minutes on drums

its definitely not something written very well

i think it would be awesome if a solo came in right after the first 16th note double bass part
where a lot of guitars drop out (it goes from 5 guitars to 2)
and the strings cut out there too

Info about the cymbals plx. Real? Samples?

cymbals were recorded in my dining room
hand selected from several different guitar centers

its a mixture of zildian and sabian

the hi hats are paiste 2002's

oh, they're programmed using samples i've recorded from different bands drum sets / cymbal setups
i try to go out and buy a new set of cymbals for every record, never buying the same cymbal twice

i record it, then take it back to guitar center and get my money back. some i keep if i really like and want to sample further in the future.

i usually do about 6 samples per velocity
but lately noticed i dont use the lower velocities very often, just lower in volume thanks to volume modulation in kontakt

i just build a drum set, each peice made in battery 3, then all peices saved as instruments loaded into kontakt 3 as a multi

then i make a drum map in cubase that plays my samples

and i program in choke groups and switches to control the entire kit with midi note messages

i guess its like making your own drum sampler similair to DFHS or something.

Yeah for sure right on, thanks for the info bro! I've never used Battery but I always assumed you could trigger random multisamples within Battery itself, there's no way to just use Battery as a virtual instrument that handles all your cymbals? I've been looking to purchase a VI sampler for programming drums, was hoping there was something out there that would let me load all my multisamples for the whole kit into one plugin.
