This Ozz Fest Thing !!!

Hello its Friday and I could use sex or a beer or both. Well lets cut to it. My "team" at work is going to the Sharon Osbourne taping on Wednesday Nov 19th!!! I think I should wear a Put Anthrax on Ozz Fest shirt to the taping. Any input would be great on what I can do to get in trouble on the show.

Fuck Ozzfest. I'm conflicted as to whether or not I'd like to see Anthrax on it after being denied so many times for it. It's like sweating a girl for so long and her denying you so many times and after a while you give up. Then a year passes by and she shows interest. You gotta hold your head up high and say "fuck no, you had your chance bitch."

Well thats stupid for them not to play for that reason.They wana reach tons of american fans and besides a slot on a Korn tour or a Metallica tour which they would not get ozzfest is the best chance.

Anthrax has great music but no exposure.The reason they were so big in the past was exposure and the old headbangers ball.

The music has been better in 90s since bush came in but the industry changed it gave its finger to many old bands denying them a push that it takes to sell records.

I just saw a show about Sharon Osbourne on E! and she said that she charged $75,000 for bands to play on the second stage on Ozzfest. Maybe it's not that Anthrax isn't being invited, but that they don't feel it's worth $75,000 to play there. I also think that it comes down to their label. If they don't help promote the band, what can the band do? Personally, I don't think it is worth the money to play 20 minutes on the second stage.

I hate to dig this out but I gotta to this show tomorrow and "My Team" decided on wearing similar\matching sweat shirts. Total estrogene party. I'm the only dude on the team. I'm leaving the sweat bottoms at home. No sweat pants in Hollywood for me, Just 501s. Anyway the sweat shirt is white with Red and Blue trim and I do the Scott style goatee, its just shorter. Anyway I can get Anthrax brought up I will. My wife and I are doing the Alex Ross book thing this weekend.

The show airs this Friday. Anyway if you want to see a sexy man you might check any audience shots. anyway it has the drunk\pill popping chick from Will and Grace on it, Courtney Cox and Monica sings, she did a pretty good job. and there was a live bonus thing with Joe and Eastsiders or some shit like that. No chance to speak for Anthrax dammit. It was defintely girls day out. There were some cute girls around though, but I'm married.

Definitely not worth it, I went to the show this year(I won free tickets and a booze cruise bus ride from a local station) Ozzfest is the Metal Heads version of a Grateful Dead show, everybody(my wife and myself included) just hangs in the parking lot for 4-5 hours, get drunk/stoned whatever then you go in to see the headliners. Any day long fest has the same rules, you go in you stay in, and fuck me with a broom stick if I'm going to pay $7 bucks for a beer for 4-5 hours and God forbid you actually get hungry during that time.
We got cranked, saw Chevelle, Manson, Korn and I was laughing so hard during Ozzy's set we just had to leave because it was just so fucking lame. Albeit it wasn't much different than the first time I saw him when Anthrax opened for him at the Rosemont Horizon in 1980 something, the only difference was he didn't have a teleprompter back then and he actually had alcohol as an excuse.
People pay the money to have their name known in hopes of attracting an audience, for Anthrax to play 2nd stage would be going backward instead of forward. Ozzfest was a great party but it's a way for new bands to get their name out there, not for established acts to try to prove they never should have been forgotten.

Damn, did I just go off on a rant? Fuck it!

Yeah I'm dissappointed too. Nobody had signs just gifts like flowers and my boss gave her a sweatshirt as a promotion for her friends that own that company. Anyway it was so quiet I could have started a ruckus and got thrown out and then lose my job. But you can still watch the show and see how hot I am :hotjump:

agreed,everytime they miss out even anthrax puts shit on ozzfest so why are they still trying to get on something that they even call lame?
