There are many members here from California...is anyone on the watch for any of the blazes? A friend of mine is. Pretty crazy. Nowhere I've read says what caused them directly (drought is an indirect factor).

He said President George W. Bush had called to offer help.

I live in Irvine, about 2-4 miles from one of the fires. Its smelled like fucking dick for about 2 days now and I can't even go outside

i live downtown in san diego. the air smells like shit and there is ash coming down but the actual flames arent that close to us. i think its getting better.
