Thoughts from Round 2

I read an interview with Dan Swano recently. He said "The Masterplan" is probably the greatest metal song to ever come out of Sweden. (And that's not even my favourite Evergrey track). Their first 3 albums are fucking brilliant - dark, heavy, technical, melodic, all pretty cool stuff. They're even better live and nice guys too! I'm happy for their success.

I've heard that Evergrey. Or maybe it was another album of theirs. I don't remember because it sucked shit.

I checked to see which one I've heard. It was Recreation Gay. I remember that little crying twirp on the cover.

Yeah, Recreation Day is by far their worst.

I'm one of the other heretics who voted for Evergrey (now there's a surprise) knowing that it would get slaughtered. I wasn't aware of that Swano quote and it's a slight exaggeration to say the least, even if I consider ISOT one of the ten best Swedish metal albums ever. Seriously.
