I'm looking at buying a new plugin set to expand my Logic software.

Anyone have any thought on T Racks Deluxe 3? Or anything else they would prefer?

Thanks

The T-RacKs stuff is prettty good - like TheDriller I use the compressors quite frequently - with three to choose from I very rarely go elsewhere. I also get a lot of use out of the monitoring suite and the Classic Clipper and both of the limiters. I don't have a ton of other plug-ins to compare them to as I try to get the most out of what I have, but I like what I get so I guess thats what matters most - at least to me.

TBH I've completely forgotten about these tools in the wave of great new ITB dynamics processors and EQs.

I understand these still likely have their place, as they're mastering-oriented, but for mix work we have some amazing offerings out there by Waves, Softube, elysia etc.

Cools plugs for sure but god DAMN are some of the emu's noisy as all hell!!!! I like to compress mutliple times in series using different flavors of compression sometimes and the Fairchild EMU was driving my fucking NUTS. I'd stop playback and hear all this fucking 'analog noise'.

Took me foreverrrrr to track it down.

In the end, I just gated the offended track(s) because I really liked what I had going, ahaha.

Good bundle for sure. Not my go to, but good to start with!

Softube FTW. Just demo'ing the Trident EQ..... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

How's the Trident comparing to the Waves SSL EQ, Charlie? That one's been on my radar for a while.

I'm considering demoing the elysia mpressor, but their demos aren't leaving me very impressed. Still suffers from that ITB compression sound it would seem. I need something that 'grabs' drums like a real FET comp would.
