Thoughts/Prayers go out to our brothers and sisters in Rhode Island

Gret White is saying they had permission to bring pyrotechnics to the venue, and the venue says they never gave permission. At any rate, it looks like the club was underprotected from any fire danger and no pyro equipment should have been there anyway. What a sad terrible loss this is.

I think I heard the club didn't have sprinklers because it was pretty small, and there were 3 exits on the sides that no one was using so they all tried to go out the way they came in:cry:

R.I.P.

And judging from the counts, the club was also over capacity.

What club isn't over capacity? I haven't been to many shows but the ones I have went to were sardine cans.

In my opinion, I think this will have little impact on other clubs lest someone(s) starts taking action.

Many hails to Rhode Island!!

okaaaaay...I just saw some of the footage, very disturbing...they said on the news that there was under 300 people (their max) but that people just didn't know where to go.

Anyways, I think it only takes common sense not to light pyro in a 1 story wooden building, regardless.

I lost one of my very best metal brothers. I am really more and more angry at the club. They are lying about not allowing pyros at the club. As youve probably seen, a local kiss tribute band came forth to say they had used them.
This whole thing sucks. As far as the comment about "baby rules"
Hopefully, it will be nothing more than clubs sticking to maximim capacity, more clearly marking exits and installing sprinklers.
That law of being grandfathered in is bullshit and needs to be changed ASAFP.
My thanks to TestAmenTlegions for your kindness, as well as everyone else here.
